MIL-A 12560

This specification covers high-strength armor plate that is approved for use by the Materials Technology Laboratory. This grade of steel is specified by the Department of the Army and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. This Rolled Homogeneous Armor (RHA) specialty plate is designed for service applications that require maximum protection for ballistic purposes. The typical Brinell Hardness range is 302-400.
